Streatley Allotment Society

SAS History

In 2012 Thames Water leased to the Streatley Parish Council some land near the Streatley Sewage Works. This has now been turned into allotments that are available to all local residents on both sides of the river. The plots have proven very popular and there is currently a long waiting list.

Streatley Parish Council has a memorandom of understanding with Streatley Allotment Society (SAS) who manage the day to day running of the allotment site.

The SAS committee is made up of local residents who are elected at the SAS AGM. The committee is responsible for the day to day running of the allotments, including the collection of rents, maintenance of the site and ensuring that all plot holders comply with the rules and regulations.
